I am back at it...

Nikon FM2n, 20mm 2.8, Kodak Ektar 100 film

OK, been awhile since I stepped up on my soap box and told everyone my dislike of digital photography and love for film, so here are a few thoughts....

Why are most things that are thought to be well made, better with time, last longer are the things that take some thought, time and experience to produce like wine, furniture, cars, homes, but when it comes to photography, the digital era has put that all in the trash. Guess that is why photography has and may not ever be mainstream art.

I cannot understand why someone who has never shot, developed or know how film works, can say digital is better. Most do not even know how digital works so how can they state one is better/worse than the other?

Do you know what depth of field is, can you explain it and can you set your camera to use it?Depth of field is a great tool in photography, if you do not know, learn what it is, you may see a big difference in you work. Also, rule of thirds..... learn it. You see it in almost every movie that is out there.

I have been thinking for some time of going back to film for my personal work. No more computer work and hours of sitting in front of the computer. I could be out shooting more, maybe digital has taken the fun out of photography for me..... film.... that gives me an idea.....

OK, that is it, I am down off the box, go back to what you were doing.... Thank you!!!!
